Book Tour Review: Justice Falling (Falling, #3) by Audrey Carlan

Justice Falling, Falling Series Book 3
Audrey Carlan
Adult Contemporary Romance (Erotic)

Sweet and naïve in the ways of the world, Camille “Cami” Johnston has done whatever it takes to survive in New York City. Unbroken by her tumultuous past, she is pursuing a stable and secure future that
doesn’t include worrying about where the rent money will come from.
Little does she know, a full-time position at Jensen Construction will do more than pay the bills, it will bring her everything she ever dreamed of having, but didn’t believe she was worthy of.
Known ladies’ man, Nathaniel “Nate” Walker, has never had a problem securing a date. As a widely successful lawyer and business owner, he knows exactly how to get what he wants, when he wants it, in and out of the courtroom… until he meets Camille Johnston.
Nate’s overly confident, alpha male tendencies toward Cami have her thoughts and emotions in a jumble of uncertainty and lust. But once the sparks fly between the cheeky lawyer and his precious Camille, the resounding flames are unstoppable.
As the couple try to find their way toward a future they both yearn for, secrets from Camille’s past and present start piling up into a vortex of half-truths and lies of omission. Now the instant connection that
brought Nate and Cami together is held together by a tenuous thread.
With a little help from their friends, Camille and Nate’s steamy, romantic, breathless journey finishes off the third installment of The Falling Series.
Each book in the Falling Series can be read as a standalone but are better when read together. All three books are intended for readers 18+ due to language and graphic sexual content.
Falling – Book 1
Falling – Book 2
Falling – Book 3

Undeniably entertaining, Justice Falling is written in the first person perspective of both main characters, Nathaniel Walker and Camille Johnson. Nathaniel’s take-charge personality compliments Camille’s more gentle side. Plus, it’s really heart-warming to see a guy who adores a kid not his own. Moreover, it’s terribly interesting and humorous to experience the change of tone, from American English to British English as the perspective shifts throughout the book. Despite having a feeling of everything going too fast midway through the story, the sweet climax and the happy-ever-after ending more than made up for it. What I really like about this book is how adorably innocent Camille is in spite of having a kid of her own, and her part-time job.

Audrey Carlan is a professional fundraiser for an international healthcare related charity by day, and a sensual and erotic contemporary romance writer by night. She lives in the sunny California Valley two hours away from the city, the beach, the mountains and the precious…the vineyards. She has been married to the love of her life for 10 years and has two young children that live up to their title of “Monster Madness” on daily basis. When she’s not raising money, sipping wine with her “soul sisters”, three incredibly different and unique voices in her life, she can be found with her nose stuck in book or her Kindle. A hot, smutty, romantic book to be exact!
In life she believes that all things have their purpose even if we are unable to determine the purpose immediately.

Review: Final Ragnarok: She Returns by Dan Wright

Posted on Updated on

My Review

A harrowing experience for readers of Draconica Series, especially to those who had gotten attached to specific characters, Final Ragnarok: She Returns contains different genres ranging from humor to action to suspense. Dan Wright has absolutely shown no mercy to several of the main characters, throwing them into all sorts of mishap and persistent bad luck. The first few chapters had me screaming in denial. Genre shifts occur sporadically throughout the novel. Zarracka and Baxter’s tandem is unbelievably hilarious while the love pairs from previous books prove that their bond is still as strong as ever. New characters have been introduced though some of them are in fact, old characters returning. Can this be considered as spoiler already? I’ll try to be as vague as possible. And death…

Book Tour Review: This Time (Moments #3) by Marie Hall

This Time
A phone call that changed our lives…

I’ve lived my life in a daze, trying to save someone hell bent on destruction. But when my phone rings and I’m told that Angel, my on again off again boyfriend has OD’d for the second time in two years, I’m so numb. So tired. So when Tor Boler, the sexy Norwegian and drummer of Fok asks me to stay with him, I stay. We were friends and I needed to be held. To be loved. It was just supposed to be one night of reckless passion. One night where I could forget how screwed up my life had become.

…a night of passion with far reaching consequences

I’ve wanted Jamie Sullivan since the day she walked through my tattoo shop eight years ago. There’s a soulfulness to her blue eyes that reminds me of the arctic fjords of home. She calls to me. There’s only one problem standing in our way- Angel Romero. I want her, and she wants me too, she just doesn’t realize it yet.

This time… we’ll get it right.
My Review

Book three of Marie Hall’s Moment Series, This Time tells of a woman who was trapped in an unhealthy relationship and a guy who had been in love with her for quite a while. Well-written and with beautiful characters, this novel is character-driven and the transition between the characters flows smoothly. Hall’s talent for weaving intense emotions into words takes center stage in the character development in this story. I love how Hall isn’t afraid of getting her characters a little dirty and a little hurt to bring about the desired reaction from the readers.

I was given an e-copy of this book by the author for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review—all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Marie Hall is a New York Times Bestselling author who has always held a dangerous fascination for creatures that go bump in the night. And mermaids. And of course fairies. Trolls. Unicorns. Shapeshifters. Vampires. Scottish brogues. Kilts. Beefy arms. Ummm… Bad boys! Especially the sexy ones.
Then the day came she realized apart from the sexy bad boy she married, there’d be no vampires/shapeshifters/mermaids/fairies/or even stinky trolls in her future unless she wrote about them. More often than not she can be found roaming the wild, lush tropical forest she calls her backyard (a.k.a. Hawaii) and day dreaming constantly about her latest project.

Review: A Song for Sophie by Mackenzie Crowne

Posted on Updated on

Jobless, practically homeless, and tired of being manless, Sophie Taylor jumps at the chance to be Beaumont Walker’s personal assistant. Six weeks on the road with country music’s bad boy–and, more importantly, his all-male crew–is the perfect opportunity to change her life.

Beau Walker doesn’t need any more distractions. Sophie, with her butt-ugly suits and balls-to-the-wall attitude, shouldn’t be one, but she proves to be distracting and more — even, surprisingly, a friend. So when he discovers her plan to snag a man from his worldly wise crew, he’s determined to protect her from herself.

When Sophie realizes Beau is behind her failure to attract even one member of his crew, the last place she expects to find herself is in his bed. But will one night of passion convince her she’s woman enough for him? Or will it destroy their friendship and his budding belief in true love?
